There’s still no sign of the sunshine here in the UK but I thought I’d share an everyday makeup routine that works for Spring.
Makeup and tools used:
Ovonni 24pcs Brush Roll | Real Techniques Eyelash Comb | Real Techniques Mini Eraser Sponge | Soap and Glory Glow Job | Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in 201 Classic Beige | La Roche-Posay Toleriane Teint Corrective Fluid Foundation in 11 Beige | Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in 01 | Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Liquid Concealer in Medium | wet n wild Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer | DE’LANCI 35 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in 35F | Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette in Medium Dark | Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent | Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Glow | Sleek Blush in Rose Gold | Avon True Colour Glimmerstick Eyeliner in Blackest Black | L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Black | Avon Magix HD Finishing Powder | Revlon Balm Stain in 040 Rendezvous
I prepped first with Soap and Glory Glow Job to give my skin some moisture and a bit of colour. My skin is suffering from a few breakouts right now so after applying my usual Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation with my Ovonni flat foundation brush, I went over it with a tiny bit of La-Roche Posay Corrective Fluid Foundation.
I’ve only just got this foundation so I haven’t used it much yet but it applies so smoothly and I feel like it’s amazing for my skin, especially when I’ve got spots and don’t want any more breakouts.
For concealer, I used Bourjois Radiance Reveal to brighten my under eye area and Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Liquid Concealer elsewhere on my face.
I set my foundation with Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I like my foundation to look quite fresh and dewy so I used a powder brush to apply this to my T-zone where my face can get quite oily.
Since eyebrows probably make the most difference to the way my face looks with mine being sparse and overplucked, I used my Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow powder to fill in the gaps and set with wax.
At this point, I then applied my favourite wet n wild eyeshadow primer to give that some time to dry before my eye makeup.
I’m not going to do any contouring today so I used my Rimmel bronzer to give my face some shape instead, just applying under my cheekbones, forehead and jawline.
I finished my face makeup with a sweep of Sleek blusher in this gorgeous rose gold colour.
On to the eyes! I decided to line them first with my Avon Glimmerstick on the waterline. I usually smudge out the colour a little but you can see it’s a very pigmented liner if you prefer harsher lines.
I always struggle choosing the right eyeshadow shade but this DE’LANCI palette has some gorgeous shimmering shades perfect for all occasions. I picked it up on Amazon and it’s a good dupe for the Morphe palettes if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative.
I opted for a Spring look with this pale pink colour and added some gold to the crease and over the top of the lid for added sparkle.
Mascara is my absolute favourite beauty item and I’m obsessed with trying new ones. This time I applied my new L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara which is a roller lash mascara that gives lashes some serious length as you can see.
If you’re careful with the brush and only want a thin coat, you can get away with applying this quickly, great for when I’m running late since I won’t leave the house without mascara. My application of this was a little clumpy so I did comb mine out with a Real Techniques lash comb.
Now the eyes are done, I used Revlon Balm Stain in this stunning coral colour for the lips. This Revlon lip crayon applies great and gives a bright, glossy colour, far more pigmented than I expected considering the name of the product implies it will be more of lip balm. I do struggle finding lip colours that stay put on me though and sadly this one does need reapplying.
Now that everything’s done, I finished with a dust of my Avon finishing powder, which just helps set my makeup for the day.
Let me know what you think or if you have any product suggestions! x
