What’s in my (Camping) Holiday Makeup Bag?

Camping, even the most glamourous variety, is never associated with bold makeup and glowing skin. But on a family trip this weekend, I needed to ensure the basics were covered for all-day simple makeup

B. Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz

I carried this handy spray in my handbag to give my skin some much-needed hydration on a morning and to keep my makeup refreshed throughout the day.

B. Sensitive Micellar Cleansing Wipes

It was a tough decision to replace my usual skincare regime with just a facial wipe to remove makeup and cleanse my skin, but two nights away didn’t warrant packing non-travel-sized cleanser and toner.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

To try and keep my skin blemish-free, I brought along my trusty Effaclar Duo.

Olay 2-in-1 Hydration and Primer

I packed this moisturiser mostly for its 2-in-1 priming qualities, since I needed my makeup to last from our morning trip to York to our BBQ in the evening.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

I like this foundation for high coverage that doesn’t look too cakey. The bottle claims 25 hour wear but it’s definitely not that long-lasting on me.

Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer

I only just got this concealer to try it out but it’s a nice size for travel and I love the application so far.

Revon Photoready Powder

I kept this in my handbag for touch-ups. It’s a nice powder but I think the shade I’m using is a bit too dark for my skintone.

Wet n Wild Photofocus Eye Primer

Eye primer is probably a beauty item I could have left out of this trip but, considering I needed my eyeshadow to last, priming it first seemed the best option.

Maybelline Brow Satin

I picked this up as I needed a brow product that would help me achieve quick brows. I’m still getting used to it but it’s basically a pencil at one end and a filler powder at the other. I love the idea of having both in one product but I’ve not quite got to grips with how the powder application works yet.

Avon Big and Daring Glimmerstick Eyeliner in deep brown

This is my favourite quick eyeliner in the brown shade I’m loving at the moment.

Revlon Ultra Volume Mascara

As a mascara hoarder, this one tops the list for giving me quick, volumized lashes that don’t need combing out.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in rose gold

There’s nothing more travel-friendly than a palette, and I brought this one along to cover blush, bronze and eyeshadow.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 111 Kiss of Life

Of course, my favourite red lipstick came camping with me!

I hope you’ve all had a nice weekend! Let me know what you’ve been up to x
