15 Minute Makeup

As I’m normally rushing to get to work on time, applying makeup quickly is a skill I’ve mastered. But rushed makeup doesn’t mean you have to settle for clumpy mascara or badly drawn brows. I’ve found the best way is to make your look focus on one aspect and put together five 15 minute makeup looks for you.

The overall:

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 220 Natural Beige
Avon Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer in medium (no longer available, alternative)
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 2 cool medium
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Avon Big & Daring Glimmerstick in deep brown (no longer available, alternative)
Barry M It’s a Brow Thing in medium
L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper Gel
W7 Banana Dreams Loose Powder
Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Cream in caramel 2

Can’t decide what to focus on? Overall makeup is probably the quickest and most natural look, teaming quick brows with eyeliner, mascara and the usual foundation, concealer and powder. On those days when I’m running really late, I skip eyeshadow and make sure my eyes still look wide awake with a thick, clump-free mascara and brown eyeliner.

All About Eyes:

La Roche Posay Toleriane Teint Corrective Foundation in 11
Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer in 030 classic beige
L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Xpert Pencil in 109 ebony
L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper Gel
Wet n wild photofocus eye primer
Makeup Revolution Mermaids Forever eyeshadow palette in brown shades
Avon Big & Daring Glimmerstick in deep brown (no longer available, alternative)
Revlon Ultra Volume Waterproof Mascara
Avon Magix HD Finishing Powder (no longer available, alternative)
Sleek Power Plump Lip Crayon in 1050 notorious nude

The trick to achieving perfect eye makeup in a limited time is to keep it simple. I chose my favourite Revlon mascara as it gives me defined lashes without needing to comb them out or apply multiple coats. I concealed, highlighted and set my face in the usual way, drawing my brows quickly with the L’Oreal pencil and finishing with a neutral shade for my lips.

All About Face:

Avon Magix Face Perfecting Primer (no longer available, alternative)
Sleek Colour Correct Palette
Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation in 103 True Ivory
Soap and Glory Hocus Focus Illuminator
L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in porcelain
L’Oreal Paris Le Blush in 160 peach
Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 022 sun bronze
Rimmel Brow This Way in medium brown
L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara
Helen E Shimmer Shade in 18
W7 Banana Dreams Loose Powder
Avon Big & Daring Glimmerstick in deep brown (no longer available, alternative)
Revlon Balm Stain in 040 rendezvous

I don’t normally have time to apply a colour correcting product in my everyday makeup but I did try out the Sleek Palette, using the orange under my eyes and the green around my nose to reduce eyebags and redness. I applied concealer over the top before my foundation.

Instead of making this look about heavy foundation and covering up, I chose my Rimmel Fresher Skin foundation mixed with an illuminator for a light coverage and dewy finish.

I made my brows, eyes and lips quite minimal while focusing on blushing and bronzing and finished with banana powder.

All About Lips:

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in 201 classic beige
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 030 classic beige
Avon Cream Blush and Highlighter Duo (no longer available)
Rimmel Brow this Way in 002 Medium Brown
Avon Big & Daring Glimmerstick in deep brown (no longer available, alternative)
L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 111 Kiss of Life

Minimal face and eye products were used for this look as I wanted to make it all about the classic red lip. I skipped the eyeshadow but went for a dramatic L’Oreal mascara and a cream blush and highlighter duo to save even more time.

All About Brows:

Soap & Glory Glow Job
Sleek CC Cream in Light
L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in porcelain
Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette in medium to dark
Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in rose gold (blush, bronze and eyes)
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in 201 black
Soap & Glory Thick and Fast HD Mascara
Soap & Glory Gloss Stick in pink punch

I think good brows can define a look, but it can look odd having spent ages on my eyebrows without eye makeup so I did cheat a tiny bit and spent more like 20 minutes achieving this.

I wanted to have fresh skin and strong highlighting so I opted for a CC cream rather than a foundation and used my L.A Girl Pro Conceal to highlight rather than cover up.

To save time, I used a Makeup Revolution blush palette, picking a blush and a bronze shade and sweeping a light gold shimmer from the same palette over my eyes too.
