Mixed up Makeup Challenge

I’ve seen a few people on YouTube attempt the Mixed up Makeup Challenge– a challenge where you take the usual steps of your makeup routine and switch the products so you could end up with mascara for foundation, lipstick for eyebrows, highlighter for concealer etc…

I planned ahead using random.org to pick which products I would be using for what step and I got some pretty interesting results!

First up, I usually do my brows and was lucky that my first product selection was actually the Freedom Duo Brow Powder, not that it helped me to have normal brows in the end!

Starting on my eye makeup, I got Essence All About Matt Fixing Powder to use in my crease and L’Oreal True Match Concealer as my lid shade. I also ended up with Avon Ideal Flawless Liquid Foundation for mascara, which was a challenge in itself trying to apply that to my lashes! For eyeliner, I got the NYX Duochromatic Illuminating Powder in lavender steel.

Now the part I was dreading: foundation time. I had to use the Sleek Blush in rose gold and blend that all over my face! It gets even worse when it came to concealing with the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick in plum this show!

I thought I’d be clever when it came to using eyeshadow as bronzer and applied a shimmering bronze shade from the I Heart Chocolate Vice Palette, not that it was any improvement!

The worst part was probably blush- I got Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara which was just difficult to blend on the cheeks!

For highlight, I had to use a matte eyeshadow shade so I opted for a cream colour from the same palette, and to set my face in place of powder, I had to the Rimmel Natural Bronzer.

Finally, I got to lips and was left with NYX Slide on Eyeliner in Glitxy Gold, which I added to by also lining my lips with the Avon Liquid Eyeliner, because I decided I didn’t look ridiculous enough!

The end result:
