Confessions of a Beauty Blogger: Bad Beauty Habits

As a beauty blogger, I feel like I have to put out this image of doing everything perfectly and never do anything like fall asleep in full makeup after a night out…

But reality isn’t perfect, is it? We all have bad habits or do things we know we shouldn’t.

Here’s my beauty blogger confessions:

Using a single eyeshadow all over the lid

Before I started my blog, I had no idea about transition shades or crease shades and mostly used eyeshadow as a single colour all over the lid. Now I’m a bit more educated on shading but I still sometimes apply a single colour when I’m rushing for work. If you’ve got time to blend 8 different shades into your crease, I’m sure it looks great but I need my sleep on a morning!

Not brushing my hair

I have wavy/curly hair that just isn’t suitable for brushing! As soon as I do, it pulls the curls out and makes it look frizzy. I do comb it through when it’s wet and I have a tangle teezer for straightened hair days but I’m not sure I even own a brush anymore!

Biting my nails

I feel like this is the ultimate bad habit. This is what my nails look like right now:

Yep, I pretty much always have false nails on!

Overplucking (even shaving my eyebrows!)

This is more something I used to do than something I do now since my poor brows are still recovering but I can definitely warn everyone against this! I’m still using castor oil to grow my brows back!

Not smudging out my eyeliner

I rarely wear liquid liner or any liner on my top lash line at all and instead apply pencil eyeliner to my waterline. For quick makeup looks, most of the time I just do this step and that’s my liner done!

Not wearing lip liner

This is usually another time-saving habit or something I just forget to do. I love how my lips look and how my lipsticks last when I remember lip liner but, most of the time, I just don’t.

What are your confessions? x
