Thank you both and please do go check out their blogs for tons of great beauty content!
So I’m going to break the rules on this one. I’m sorry. I’m going to combine both sets of questions into one post and I’m not going to post individual nominations. My reasons for this are just that I know many people have already done this before and, as a small blogger myself, I know it’s disheartening to be overlooked for these things and I don’t want to make anyone feel like that. I will post questions at the end but I just want to let everyone know that you are all welcome to take these questions and answer them on you blog because I’d love to see your answers!
Okoto Enigma created this award to recognise other bloggers and give everyone a chance to check out their blogs. I think that’s a great message but, as I’ve said above, not getting nomianted for one of these does not mean you don’t have an amazing blog!
Rules for this award:
- Put the award logo on your blog.
- Post the rules.
- Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Mention the creator of the award and provide a link to their blog too.
- Tell your readers three things about yourself.
- Nominate 10-20 people for the same award.
- Notify the nominees by commenting on their blog.
- Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice with one weird/funny question.
- Provide links to your 5 best posts.
Three things about me:
Number One: I’m a published fiction writer and work in SEO and digital marketing. Sometimes the compliments on my blog are about my writing style etc. so just letting you know that I do have an unfair advantage!
Number Two: I’m a comic con and cosplay fan (you’ve probably seen me mentioned this before) I’m really lazy at showing my costume makeup when I’m not going to a convention but a big part of my makeup skills is this rather than the everyday kind!
Number Three: I suffer from endometriosis, which is a condition where the lining of the womb appears in other areas of the body. I don’t speak out about it much because some women have it far worse than me but I do like to raise awareness.
Questions from Emily:
1. If you could have any makeup artist/influencer do your makeup, who would it be? Why?
Nikkie Tutorials, I think.
2. Sephora or Ulta? Why?
We don’t have either in the UK but I have to say Sephora because I love browsing their website and they have European stores.
3. What advice would you give to your younger self?
I was quite a shy and lacked confidence in my teenage years so I think I would tell myself to just go and do things instead of worrying about others.
4. If you could be any fictional character for a day, who would it be? Why?
I’ll say Ariel from The Little Mermaid. It’s my fave Disney movie but also it would be cool to be a mermaid for a day!
5. If you could be any food, what would it be?
I think I’d be cake.
Questions from Mary Ann:
What is your biggest beauty blunder?
I literally had no idea about how to apply or wear eyeshadow until a year or so ago (I’m 27…) I was a one-shade-all-over-the-lid kinda girl and sometimes still am!
What did you want to be when you were a kid? Did it happen?
I was one of those kids who wanted to be everything so in a way, yes. I’ve always wanted to write but I didn’t ever imagine a job in marketing as a kid, I just knew I wanted something creative.
What is your absolute favorite beauty brand?
I really struggled with this! Most brands I’ve only tried selected products from but the ones that come to mind are: L’Oreal, NYX and Bourjois.
What’s your normal skincare routine?
I’m trying to cut back on my routine because I have no idea what works but I usually take my makeup off earlier on with a wipe or heavy duty cleanser and then use micellar water, toner, eye cream and night cream/day cream/moisturiser.
If your skin could talk to you, what would it say?
Probably ‘Why do you use so many products???’
My Questions (anyone who wants to answer these, please do!)
What one brand or product do you wish you could try that’s not available/easy to get in your country?
What is your bad beauty habit?
Do you prefer to follow makeup tutorials or experiment with looks?
What skin type do you have and what’s your best advice for looking your skin?
If you had to swap bodies with someone of the opposite sex for the day, who would you pick?
