We all have those products that work for us some of the time but then other times, it’s like you’re using a completely different product! Or what about those products that you love and hate in equal amounts?
Here are a few of mine!
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
You can tell from the picture mine is almost gone so it’s certainly seen some love in its time but this much-hyped powder provides hit and miss results for me. Sometimes my makeup looks flawless, sometimes it makes it look dry and cakey. It hasn’t been doing much for oil control around my nose recently either so I’m definitely looking for something better!
Dior Diorshow Pump n Go Mascara
I think this was my first high end purchase so I was expecting big results. Sometimes this mascara delivers and other times it just doesn’t! I find this with most mascaras so I’m sure I’m doing something wrong but the difference in how this looks is either amazing or clump city with no in between!
Bourjois Rogue Edition Velvet Lipstick Peach Club
This is a gorgeous colour but it refuses to stay put on me no matter what I do! For some reason, the texture of it also reminds me of paint so that usually puts me off wearing it even though I love this colour!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gelee Milk Cleanser
I’m really not sure how I feel about this cleanser. I originally bought it to remove heavy makeup which is what I typically use cream cleansers for but this isn’t really suitable for that purpose. I adore Neutrogena though and find that this is great when used as a skincare item after I’ve removed my makeup as it leaves my skin so soft and smells amazing like the rest of their hydro boost range.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
I know everyone loves this but, when I first got it, I was quite underwhelmed with its performance. It’s just an average spot treatment that works the same as much cheaper products when it comes to the usual spots I get. When I tried it on a recent breakout around my mouth, though, the results were amazing! I’m not sure if it works better on certain types of spots but I was much more impressed after that.
