Primark PS…Pure Glow Highlighters Review

Budget clothing store Primark have really upped their game since they first released a beauty range a couple of years ago. My local Primark offers quite a small selection but there’s a much bigger store just around the corner from where I work, meaning my bank balance takes a hit as I see the latest releases hit the shelves on my lunch break!

They recently had a new range of higlighters in called PS…Pure Glow. Primark’s beauty range tends to sell out quick so, for just £3 each, I had to pick up the four shades I found. They also had a mermaid and a unicorn shade but I held back on buying as I didn’t think they’d suit me.

I have the shades:

Bunch Club– Subtle highlight shade, a shimmery white-gold champagne

Rose Prosecco– beautiful peachy pink, like a cross between blush and higlight but not the most wearable everyday shade for me. Would make a stunning eyeshadow too!

Mink Pink– Stunning silvery pink, really nice shimmer shade

Champagne– Gorgeous bronze-toned highlight, I thought this might be too dark for me but looks really pretty blended out

Packaging

The pan is a good size and housed in standard plastic packaging with a clip front closure. I love the gold base and the clear lid makes it easy to see which shade I’m picking up.

Application and lasting power

I haven’t worn all of these shades for a full day yet but they all feel smooth and apply perfectly with no chalkiness that I’ve sometimes found in cheap highlights. I can’t say that they last all day but the shade I’ve worn most (Bunch Club) just fades a little and loses some of its glow throughout the day.

Price

I think one of the most impressive things about these is that they are extremely budget-friendly at just £3! If they bring out more shades, I’d probably pick them up because the quality is great for such a small price!
