Top skincare products for 2018

I thought about writing this post at the end of 2017 after noticing how good and blemish-free my skin was looking. Since then, I have developed a few spots but I think it’s hormonal.

Anyway, here’s all the skincare products I’ve been loving recently and will continue to use through 2018! For reference, I have non-sensitive combination skin.20171229_1016191389261-e1515269905559.jpg

Cleanser: The Body Shop Tea Tree Foaming Facial Wash

I was disappointed when I first tried this. I expected the foaming aspect to be better somehow but I kept with it and actually love how it makes my skin feel.

Toner: The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner

I’ve started to find this a bit harsh to use alongside other tea tree products so I’m trying not to use it as much but it’s a good toner and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean.

In-shower cleanser: Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel

I’ve reserved this one for washing my face in the shower. It’s no good for removing makeup etc. but I love using it.

Facial spray: Mario Badescu Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater

I don’t use this all the time but it’s so refreshing and dries super quick. I like to spritz it over makeup sometimes as it dries so much faster than my setting sprays!

Micellar water: Bioderma

I love this stuff but I don’t think it’s any better than the cheaper alternatives. This is what I use to take makeup off most of the time and to cleanse my face before I go to bed.

Treatment: The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion

This is an occasional treatment product I use to keep blemishes at bay. I’m not completely sure if it works but I haven’t had any spots so maybe!

Serum: The Ordinary Buffet

This is one of those products where I can’t pinpoint exactly what it does for my skin but I thought I would include it anyway since it’s part of my routine!

Pads: Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads

These are the only skincare item I’ve repurchased after initially thinking they weren’t that great. I realised they had actually faded a lot of pigmentation on my skin so I bought them again when they were on offer!

Mask: bliss multi-face-eted

I have way too many masks on the go currently but this is the one I keep reaching for. I got it in a Look Incredible box and I wasn’t sure at first but I’m glad I stuck with it! I use this to clear my skin once a week or so.

Moisturiser: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

I don’t use moisturiser that much as I tend to use night cream and day cream instead but if I do, this is the one I go for most. The gel formula is great for oily skin days as it just leaves my skin feeling hydrated without that greasy feeling.

Day & night cream: Avon Anew Vitale

I’ve gone back to these old faves after trying out the L’Oreal ones. I’m not sure if I can replace these as I no longer have an Avon rep so I’ll be gutted when these run out!

Eye cream: Avon Anew Vitale

I also use the matching eye cream. It’s nothing special but it works just fine if you can pick it up cheap enough.

What skincare products are you going to be using this year? I love my current routine but I’l always looking to try new things!
