Everyday Makeup Stash: Jan 2018

A while ago, I shared a post exploring my makeup collection and storage. Since getting my dressing table, I’ve always stored similar products together so all foundations together, all brow products together etc. but this has become overwhelming for me on a morning when I need to get ready quickly.

What I hope to do with ‘everyday makeup stash’ is rotate products on a monthly basis or whatever works so that I can choose products quickly. This will also help me figure out if I really like a product or not and help me get through my crazy collection!

So, here’s what I will be using for January!

Primer: e.l.f. primer, Benefit POREfessional, e.l.f. undereye primer

Originally, I had the NYX Angel Veil primer in here after featuring it in my products I’m tying to use up post but I haven’t been enjoying it so time to give my other primers a chance! Sadly, I’m not finding the e.l.f. one much better!

Foundation: Charlotte Tilbury The Magic Foundation, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum

I have a lot of foundation to get through and that CT one is actually one of the newer ones in my collection but, as it’s so much pricier than anything else I own, I want to make sure it gets used.

Concealer: Collection Lasting Perfection, Maybelline The Eraser Eye, NYX Full Coverage pot

A couple of to-use concealers in here plus the NYX pot, just in case.

Other base: Sleek Colour Correcting palette, Huda foundation samples, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Liquid Opal mini, Clinique Pore Refining Solutions, Soap & Glory The Fill Monty

A bunch of things that I want gone, mostly minis and things I never reach for.

Powder: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish, Avon Magix HD Finishing Powder

One setting powder and one loose powder. The Avon one needs using and I want to give the CT one a fair shot before I make my mind up about it.

Blush: PS…Cheeky Peachy palette, Makeup Revolution Blush in Treat

I’m loving this cute Primark palette at the moment. The highlight is a bit too subtle for me but I love the blush shades. Blush isn’t something I use every day but I’m getting more into it having it in my daily stash!

Highlight: PS…Pure Glow palette, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Champagne Pop

My highlight decision was probably the most painful since I love trying new ones! I have also added a Becca mini in Opal since I started this post.

Bronzer: Rimmel Natural Bronzer

I hit pan on this a while ago but it’s barely had any use since I discovered The Body Shop Honey Bronzer so time to get it used up!

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade medium brown, Makeup Revolution Brow Pencil Brunette, L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper, Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, New Look Highlight Pencil

That may sound like a long list of brow products but I’ve never really stuck to a single product. I’m actually finding this quite challenging to not have all my normal options!

Eyes: wet n wild PhotoFocus Primer, L’Oreal Infallible Eye Paint Nudist

These are both base eye products that are well on their way to appearing in an empties post.

Mascara: Benefit Roller Lash, Clinique High Impact, Soap & Glory Thick & Fast HD

Getting mascara used up has been my mission for the past few months since I have way too many open and plenty of unopened tubes to replace them with!

Liner: Avon Supershock black, L’Oreal browny crush, Max Factor Xpert Waterproof Liner Metallic Lilac

The Avon liner is my former go-to that I now use mostly to tightline and the  Max Factor liquid liner is starting to dry up because I just hardly ever use it!

As for eyeshadow, I’ll be trying a different palette every week to decide what I actually like and hopefully get some decluttering done. Keep an eye out for my ‘palette of the week’ post!

I’ve also not talked about lip products because I tend to rotate the ones I have in reaching distance anyway.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know how you store your everyday makeup! x
