Product Empties #5: January 2018

Now we’re officially out of the longest month of the year, it’s time for my January empties! Despite feeling like it actually lasts about three times longer than any other month, I got through surprisingly few products…

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water

Absolutely love this stuff! But I’m not sure it’s any better than a cheaper alternative.

Repurchase? Not at the moment

Cetaphil Moisturising Cream Mini

I kept this mini in my bathroom for use after a harsh face mask and it did a pretty good job!

Repurchase? Maybe, when I’ve got through some other moisturisers

wet n wild PhotoFocus Eye Primer

There’s still a tiny amount of this left but I just don’t have time for all that tube-squeezing when I’m in a rush on a morning. I’ve called this my favourite eye primer before but it’s the first one I ever tried! I do like it more than the e.l.f. one I chose to replace it though.

Repurchase? Maybe when I’ve finished my others

Essence The False Lashes Mascara

All these products have one thing in common: there’s still a little bit left! This wasn’t my favourite mascara ever- it’s very wet and I seemed to get mixed results with it but it’s so cheap!

Repurchase? No

Collection Lasting Perfection shade 2

The classic Collection concealer was starting to oxidise, not sure if it did that when I first bought it but I’ve had it for almost a year now so…

Repurchase? I have a backup of a lighter shade

NYX Angel Veil Primer

I put this in my products I’m trying to use up since I wasn’t really getting on with this. I’ve had a few more tries with it since then and I think it works better with a very small amount of product patted into the skin but still not my favourite!

Repurchase? No

Neutrogena T-Gel Shampoo

It’s actually been a while since I used up one of these which is rare! This is the only thing that works for my flaky scalp.

Repurchase? Yes! I have a couple of backups

Wilko Dry Shampoo

I picked this up in a huff when I couldn’t seen any good offers on branded dry shampoos but it worked amazingly well! And it was about £1 so a bargain!

Repurchase? Yes!

Ouai Wave Spray mini

I’ve had this for a while and really enjoyed using it, mostly because I adore the scent! Like if they released a perfume, I’d buy it! I did like the results in my hair though, too!

Repurchase? The full size retails for £22 which would be a painful amount to spend on haircare for me so probably not unless it was on offer

Bath & Body

The Body Shop Raspberry Shower Gel

This was the last of my shower gels to get used up before I crack on with the Christmas giftsets! I adored the smell of this and love Body Shop products but it’s probably not anything special.

Repurchase? Maybe, but I’ve currently got enough shower gels and creams to keep my whole street clean!

Avon Life Body Spray

I don’t really use body sprays so was keen to get this one decluttered. It smelt nice but wasn’t very long lasting, which is also true of the matching perfume.

Repurchase? No

Avon Naturals Room Spray Cherry Blossom

I have a collection of these around my house and this is the latest to make the empties pile! Not my favourite of the scents but still nice!

Repurchase? Probably not

Cotton Pads

Lacura Cotton Wool Pads

I don’t normally give cotton wool its own section but I can’t fit much into my photos using my new light tent! These were from my local Aldi supermarket and cost about 60p, just as good as a pricier brand to me!

Repurchase? Yes

Ps…Oval Cosmetic Pads

These are the larger variety of cotton pad available from Primark. I picked them up when I couldn’t see the usual smaller ones in store and did enjoy using them for certain jobs but it’s not often I need a larger cotton pad!

Repurchase? Maybe if I had a specific need for them

Freedom Brush Bath

I guess this is a dupe for the Beauty Blender solid? It’s basically soap in a pot that you swirl your sponges and brushes in and they come up looking as good as new! My brush-cleaning life changed when I got this and I was upset when I finished it but I have since tried regular soap and have to say, it kind of does the same thing just with less convenience!

Repurchase? Probably

Florapy Anti-Ageing Mask

I got this in a Look Incredible box and thought it was great for a relaxing pamper session but, as with all sheet masks, I didn’t really notice any lasting changes to my twenty-seven-year-old skin.

Repurchase? Nah
