Disney Inspired Makeup: Princess Jasmine

It’s been ages since I did my first Disney inspired makeup look for Ariel and I finally had the time to sit down and try another princess. This time I went for Jasmine from Aladdin as I really wanted to get creative.

This is definitely not a look I’d rock while doing the ASDA shopping but I like the idea of what I was trying to create. It didn’t all go to plan (those brows will give me nightmares!) but the eyes turned out better than I thought.

I placed shadow shields from Primark under my eyes to create the wing and started with a neutral base and a matte yellow all over my crease.

Moving on to the stunning BH Cosmetics Foil Eyes palette (this is featuring in an upcoming post on underrated products- watch out for it), I ran a gold shade through my crease and followed the curve of the shadow shield to wing it out. I carved out the lid including the wing with concealer and patted on the blue with a damp flat brush.

I traced my lash line with liquid liner and then added definition with the NYX gold pencil liner round my crease and on the outline of the wing. I used a black gel pencil in my waterline and tightline and finished with Essence mascara. If you’re braver than me, you could add false lashes to this look.

The brows did not work out but I traced the shape with the Avon pencil and then tried to fill them in with black eyeshadow

I kept my base simple with a mattifying primer and matte foundation and tried to warm up my skin with a cream contour and Benefit Hoola. I also contoured my nose with Hoola to give the illusion of a more slender Jasmine nose.

I completely forgot to use blusher but a nice mauvey pink blush would have been my choice. I opted for the purple shade in the Sleek Solstice Highlight palette and also used this shade on my brow bone, nose and inner corner.

My base was finished with a dusting of banana powder and then I lined my lips and added a pink lipstick.

What Disney character should I do next? x
