It’s a new month and time for another look into my beauty trash to see what I liked and disliked and what I will be repurchasing! I spent April job hunting and preparing for interviews etc. so I don’t feel like I’ve got through as much as I usually would if I was getting ready for work every day!
L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper
I can’t believe how long this brow gel lasted but it’s finally made the empties. I adore this product as I find it easy to use and I love the texture it gives my brows.
Repurchase? Yes when I’ve got through some others!
Avon Supershock Gel Pencil Liner Blackest Black
This was my favourite liner for tightlining, though I rarely use it in my waterline anymore because the black pigment is intense! It had become impossible to sharpen so that’s the last little bit in the bin!
Repurchase? I think I might have a backup somewhere
e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set
I got through this pretty quickly since it’s quite a small bottle. This was cheap and did a good job but I think there are better value sprays out there.
Repurchase? Probably not but would use again
Soap & Glory The Greatest Scrub of All
There is some of this left so this is a bit of a cheat. I put a lot of products into smaller containers to save space and this was one of them- however, I am going to talk about being ’empty’ because I might not bother finishing the last bit as I have other scrubs I like more.
Superdrug Naturally Radiant 2 in 1 Moisturiser and Serum
It’s rare for a 2 in 1 product to impress me on anything other than a convenience level but I really enjoyed this. It smells great- like the rest of the Naturally Radiant range and I found it really nice and hydrating on my skin.
Repurchase? Yes when I’ve got through some moisturisers!
The Body Shop Tea Tree Targeted Spot Gel
I was using the whole tea tree range at one point but it’s a bit too harsh for my skin. This spot treatment was alright- nothing special. I don’t like the doe foot type applicator because surely that’s unhygienic? I tended to just dab a bit on my finger and apply it that way. Nice but no amazing spot-clearing results.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
I was pretty gutted when my cult classic MB spray ran out. I got this in a skincare set and it was definitely one of my faves. I liked the mist and how quickly it dried on my face. Great for skincare, setting makeup, dampening brushes and I’ve even used it in my hair!
Garnier Micellar Water- Combination Skin
Having always been a fan of the standard pink-top micellar water, I decided to try the green-top meant for combination skin. It’s okay- it does the job but I wasn’t blown away by it like I was with the oil-infused version. I’m not really sure what my skin type is at the moment- I always thought it was combination hence picking this up but I seem to get random dry patches and oil exclusively on my nose so it’s weird!
Repurchase? No but I love the other variants
Neutrogena T-Gel Shampoo
This stuff has featured in enough of my emties posts by now so I won’t go into detail but it’s a medicated shampoo for my scalp and it’s a definite winner for me!
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Fixer
I’m not sure how I’ve got through this so much faster than the matching shampoo. It did work in terms of reducing frizz and leaving my hair soft but my curls always looked a bit lifeless after using this which is a shame.
Bath & Body
Mario Badescu Botanical Body Soap mini
I’ve had this kicking around on my bathroom shelf for a while. I had a few spots on my body when I first got this and it worked wonders so I haven’t really felt the need to keep using it. I used the last bit up by pouring it into a bath which was also quite nice for my skin.
Repurchase? Would definitely use again but it would take forever to get through a full size!
Radox Muscle Therapy Bubble Bath
This is labelled as being ‘for men’ which is definitely just a marketing tactic to make bubble baths seem less girly. Aside from the slight man smell, I really enjoyed this and it did help me feel relaxed and ease my muscle pain. I got through it super quick but I’m sure I must use too much…
Baylis and Harding Beauticology Milk Chocolate Shower Cream and Candy Apple Body Wash
We’re getting to the last of the Christmas giftset stuff now. If you’ve read previous empties featuring any of these products, you’ll know I’m not really a fan- particularly of the shower cream formula which is like a jelly that slips out of my hands constantly.
PS…Micellar Cleansing Wipes
These rarely went near my face but I loved them for cleaning up swatches and wiping down my dressing table etc. A beauty staple for me!
PS…Pro Makeup Melt Cleansing Cloths
These ones I did use for removing makeup, more the makeup looks I do for my blog rather than everyday looks as I kept them in my dressing table for convenience. They’re really good if you like this sort of makeup remover- like a standard wipe but a lot wetter and a bit stronger/better quality. I personally don’t really use these enough to rush out and buy another pack.
PS…Dark Circle Reducing Sunflower Eye Patches
My biggest complaint with these is that there are zero instructions for how long to leave them on printed anywhere on the packet. For the price (I think they were £1?), they’re great for a pamper session. No amazing dark circle reduction but I haven’t found that with pricier options either.
PS…Round Cosmetic Pads
Classic cotton wool pads…nothing else to say!

Foaming Bubble Mask
Another item I picked up in my Primark skincare haul. I quite liked this actually for the money. This is the cleansing variety and I have another one to try still. No amazing results but it felt really nice on my skin and I managed to get two uses out of the packet- not bad for 80p!
