Despite being a long month, there were a lot of products on the verge of being used up that didn’t quite make it to my empties box in June. I’ve already got a little stash waiting until the end of July but here’s what I managed to use up last month:
Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist
If you read my review of this setting spray, you’ll know I really enjoyed the product but the spray nozzle was horrendous and I had to put it in another bottle to use it!
Repurchase? I don’t think it’s worth the money but I would use it again.
L’Oreal Infallible Eye Paint Nudist
There is a bit of this left but it’s hard to get out now. I liked this for quick natural eyes but it didn’t last very long.
Repurchase? Maybe
Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed
This is a self-heating mask that always felt nice on my skin but never worked like it should.
Repurchase? Probably not
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
I don’t really get the hype with this. It’s an okay spot treatment but it only worked on certain types of spots and it’s definitely not a miracle product.
Repurchase? No
La Roche Posay Effaclar H Moisturiser
I’m not sure why I bought this since it has a very specific purpose of being for oily skin that has been dehydrated with overly drying products. I feel like it did work if that’s what you want but my skincare needs change so I wouldn’t want this as a full-time moisturiser.
Repurchase? Probably not
Re-gen Cream
I picked this up in Home Bargains and initially used it as a facial moisturiser as it’s supposed to be fading like Bio Oil but I actually preferred it to use on my body- it was great at clearing up the dry skin I get from blisters on my hand.
Repurchase? Yes if I see it
The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion
This wasn’t my favourite from the range as I found it quite sticky feeling and it didn’t really do much for blemishes like I was expecting.
Repurchase? No
Soap & Glory The Scrub of your Life
This was an okay scrub but I prefer others. I’m also unsure if this has microbeads in it. If it does- I’m sorry fish!
Repurchase? No
X-pel Therapeutic Shampoo
My mum gave me this to see if it was as good as my belovedly expensive Neutrogena T-gel for sorting my flaky scalp out. In summary: it wasn’t.
Repurchase? No
Paco Robanne Olympia Perfume
I got this with my Boots points in the January sales and I’m still surprised I got through it so quick since I have plenty of other perfumes to get through but I did really enjoy this scent.
Repurchase? Yes
Radox Muscle Therapy Bubble Bath
I’ve mentioned this before as I get through bubble bath pretty quickly but it’s nice- cheap enough and does the job!
Repurchase? No
Mitchum Deodorant
I literally don’t know what I did before I discovered this. It’s the best roll-on I’ve ever used and I already have multiple backups waiting.
Repurchase? Already have
Jack Wills mini body wash x 2
I have loads of these Jack Wills minis to use from an advent calendar a couple of years ago and these were the first two to go. I actually really liked this stuff- it was a gel consistency but it foamed up nicely and smelt great.
Repurchase? Don’t think I can but would use again
PS…Argan Facial Cleansing Wipes
I’m trying not to use wipes much on my face so these have mainly been used for wiping swatches etc. When I have tried them on my face, I can’t say I’ve noticed them been particularly nourshing but then I don’t really have dry skin so…
Repurchase? Probably not these ones but Primark wipes yes
Lacura Cotton Wool Pads
Anther repeat- cheap cotton pads from Aldi that do the job.
Repurchase? Yes
Avon Naturals Coconut & Starfruit Room Spray
I love these sprays but didn’t really like the scent of this one. I’m not a big cocounut fan anyway but this has a sort of holiday smell to it like suncream. It was best suited to my bathroom than the rest of the house!
Repurchase? No
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
I try to remember to throw these away every few months but I’m sure had this too long…I’ve got a few that I’m using it but this one ripped during washing and it was time to toss it.
Repurchase? I really love my Beauty Blender but this is a great cheaper alternative so probably
B. Makeup Brush Cleanser
This is the first spot cleaner I’ve used and it was fine- did the job and comes in pretty cheap. I’m using an even cheaper Primark version at the moment but I will retun to this if it’s not as good.
Repurchase? Maybe
I’m totally with you about the Mitchum deodorant, I’ll never use a different brand now!
