We’re taking a trip back in time for today’s post to revisit my monthly favourites over the last two years of Beauty Siren. My bloggerversary was actually back in April but I’m just getting around to finishing this post!
Here’s my past faves and what I think now:
PS…My Perfect Colour Powder
I haven’t used this recently but for £2 this is an incredible powder and definitely still something I’d consider a favourite.
Skin79 BB Cream
I used this again recently and I’m still very much in love with this BB cream. It gives me that natural skin-like look whilst still being great coverage. I’d choose this over foundation every time!
Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in Pink Luxe
My favourite nail polish is always from Barry M and this pink-gold sparkler is still one I reach for.
Soap & Glory Bubbles in Paradise
I haven’t repurchased this body wash since I used it all just because I have a few to get through but I know this smelt amazing and felt really relaxing and luxurious so I will look out for it again when it’s on offer.
Utan & Tone Coconut Tanning Water
This is still the only facial tanning spray I’ve used but it does the job and I do still really like it.
Skinfood Avocado Lip Scrub
I haven’t felt the need to reach for this much recently but it is my favourite lip scrub that I’ve tried so far.
Deep red lipsticks
A generic one but I was very fond of a deep red lip at this time of year and I still love my makeup when I wear them.
PS…Velvet Matte Lip Crayon Uncovered
I still think these are a great formula and this is a good everyday shade that I need to wear more. Primark has changed these recently but I haven’t given the new version a go yet.
Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water
I remember absolutely loving this as soon as I used it but then my skin started to breakout more and I was never sure if this was somehow the culprit or not. I’d like to try this again though, or the blue-lid version.
Superdrug Vitamin C Skin Booster
I’d forgotten how much I loved this! I have a couple of vitamin C serums to use but I will pick this up again at some point if I don’t find anything better.
L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream
I used this recently and was thinking about how long I’d had it sitting in my collection. I’m not sure if I love it as much as I did a year ago but it’s still a decent hair product.
Original Beauty Blender
This was when I got my first Beauty Blender and I actually still have this one (probably gross but it still works). I really do love it but I think cheaper brands have really upped their game recently with a change in shape for the RT sponge and even some impressive offerings from Primark.
Revolution Renaissance Lipsticks
I haven’t reached for these for ages and actually don’t love the formula as much anymore. I’ll see if the summer has me reaching for them again anytime soon!
L’Oreal Sugar Scrub Clear
I really enjoyed this scrub but I haven’t repurchased yet. I think I would still love this one though.
ColourPop Lippie Pencil Aquarius
I adore the formula of these and will probably pick this shade up again at some point as I’ve finished it all up.
Gucci Rush 2 EDT
I’m on my second bottle of this and haven’t reached for in a while but it has a real holiday scent that’s perfect for summer.
PS…Pure Glow Highlighting Palette
I like this palette but I’m surprised that I liked it enough to put it in a favourites post as it mostly just sits in my drawer unloved these days.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
I’ve used this up since but I think this is still a great pomade and the shade selection is more impressive than my other fave Benefit’s pomades.
Oskia Citylife I-Zone Balm
I’ve dismissed this product from memory but I know I really enjoyed it at the time, it’s just super expensive for what it is.
Mitchum Advanced Control Deodorant
I won’t use anything else now since discovering this deodorant so definitely still a firm fave.
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme
I’ve repurchased these multiple times since so it’s weird to look back on when I first considered them a fave but definitely still something I use and love.
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer
This is my all-time fave bronzer so again it’s weird to look back but I do still adore this.
wet n wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette
I had no idea I’d even included this in a favourites post! wet n wild has an incredible formula for an affordable brand and these shades are so pretty but I recently passed this on to a friend because I never reach for palettes like this anymore.
Makeup Revolution Life on the Dance Floor Guest List Lipstick in Head Turner
I still adore this lipstick and it’s definitely one of my most used in my collection.
Bit of a generic one but I’d always used black eyeliner before this so I definitely still love brown eyeliner but I don’t have a specific favourite.
Revlon Insta-Fix Foundation Sticks
This is crazy to me that I considered these favourites as there are much better foundations out there. I do still have the darker shade for cream contour but as actual foundation I don’t recommend.
Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Mask and Peel
I don’t really remember what I thought of this but I do know this was back before I’d tried a lot of other face masks and skincare so I suspect I wouldn’t love it quite the same.
Real Techniques Setting Brush
I hardly ever mention brushes but I used to love this! I do still use it consider it a big part of my makeup routine now.
Barry M Nail Paint Diamond Glitter
I decluttered this recently as the last bit had gone gloopy and hard to use but I think this is an incredible and affordable glitter top coat.
Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Spray
This is still an Avon product I love and one of the reasons that would sway me into making a purchase with them even though I don’t have a rep anymore.
I still have these and use them regularly but I can’t imagine that I’d think of any tweezers as a fave anymore.
B. Makeup Brush Cleanser
I’ve tried a couple of spot cleaners for my brushes since this but I think I preferred this so I might repurchase soon.
A mixed bag of things I still love and things I would never call a favourite anymore but this was really interesting to look back on!
